During your safari, you will stay in luxury travel tented lodges/ camps with excellent wildlife viewing settings. You will be wowed by the scenery and the abundance of wildlife as you visit several different Kenyan national parks. Depending on your international flights in and out of Kenya, you can add days at both ends of the trip to fit well with the schedule and activities. The program can be easily transformed into a fly-in safari too -Some parts of the journey can be done by flight, such as Samburu to Maasai Mara and back to Nairobi.
Upon arrival at J.K.I.A NBO Airport, you will be met and transferred to a city hotel. Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, is East Africa's most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for your African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa's 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place to be. There are some fascinating attractions that you can visit depending on your flight arrival time- it's cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, and the world's only urban game reserve. If time allows, make sure you pay a visit to the Sheldrick elephant orphanage center operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This is a pre-booked visit. Kindly let us know when we are arranging your safari to ensure you don’t miss out!
Overnight Stay in Nairobi
Your safari starts now! You will be transferred by road to Samburu (5h- 6h). Set on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River and neighboring the Buffalo Springs National Park, Samburu National Reserve is characterized by a spectacular landscape of rugged hills, undulating plains, and riverine forests. The park is home to abundant wildlife, including a variety of rare species such as the reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, the Somali ostrich, the Grevy's Zebra, and the Beisa Oryx. You can also spot herds of elephants, a variety of predators, and over 450 bird species. The ancient culture of the Samburu people is still alive here, and it is possible to see two unique customs firsthand: watch as herds of cattle respond to each man's individual voice as they call, and see the tribesmen perform incredible dances that go back hundreds of years as part of their culture and heritage. After lunch and relaxation, go for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight stay in Samburu.
After an early breakfast, get ready to explore Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Later in the evening, be on the lookout for huge herds of elephants, prides of lions, or the solitary leopard amongst other game that are regular visitors around the camps with a spectacular scenic background of rugged rolling hills.

After an early breakfast, we shall depart by road to Nakuru, arriving in your hotel in time for a late afternoon lunch. With an optional stopover at Thompson Falls (entry fee not included) after lunch, relax and cool off in your camp/hotel, and if possible, take an evening game drive.

After breakfast, start the morning game drive in the Nakuru National Park. Go back to the hotel for a hot lunch and some rest, and later in the afternoon, embark on the evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is home to flocks of sensational flamingos and many other bird species, including pelicans, cormorants, black-winged stilts, avocets, and migrant European birds. Besides its magnificent bird life, it is also one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhino. Watch these magnificent mammals grazing the shoreline of the lake or wallowing in the mud.
Dinner & overnight in Nakuru.
After breakfast, we shall depart for Hell’s Gate National Park. Everything about Hell’s Gate National Park is different. You can take a guided walking safari here. Where else can you do a bicycle safari in Kenya, riding past grazing zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffalos and baboons? The opportunities for climbing are plentiful, accessible, and not too challenging on the park’s volcanic spires. The landform here is striking as well, greeting visitors with dramatic gorges, great towers, looming cliffs, and steaming columns of geothermal clouds escaping from the rocks. After the hike, head back to your hotel for some hot lunch and much-needed relaxation.
Later in the afternoon, we shall head to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a visit to Crescent Island. Lake Naivasha is a vast freshwater lake that supports a great diversity of game as well as more than 400 species of birds. Cruise through pods of hippos and listen to the shrill cry of the fish eagle. The boat ride provides an excellent opportunity to watch the birds up close in a stunning and tranquil environment. On the island, the terrain is flat, making it easy to walk.
Later in the evening, enjoy some relaxation at your lodge. The hotels we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees, as well as spot some animals ranging from Zebras, waterbucks, to warthogs. Dinner and overnight stay in Naivasha.
Dinner & overnight in Naivasha.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Maasai Mara -one of Kenya's undisputed natural highlights is the Masai Mara National Reserve, which sprawls across more than 1500 square kilometers of Kenya's southwest. The park protects a phenomenal array of game, including elephants, lions, leopards, and buffalo, as well as crocodiles and hippopotamuses in the Mara River. The birdlife is no less impressive, with over 450 species. However, the true highlight here is the Great Migration, recognized as one of the seven New Wonders of the world. Arrive in time for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy a game drive with an experienced guide. Exit the park gate by 6 PM. Dinner & Overnight in Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. However, the true highlight here is the Great Migration, recognised as one of the seven New Wonders of the world. While July-September is the peak crossing time at the Mara River, timing your trip can be tricky because there’s no guarantee that a herd will decide to cross at a particular time. Not even the wildebeest know when they’re going to cross! This is a natural happening, and sometimes the herds stay put for two weeks, other times they could cross four times in one day! Some arrive in the water and swim immediately; some arrive and spend days hanging around grazing; some arrive and turn back to where they come from.
As your Maasai Mara safari is private, your time spent at the Mara is shaped by your own wishes. You can take breaks, spending time as you please, relaxing at your lodge. Your driver/guide is only too happy to help you plan the details of your stay for the best experience. Useful if you are travelling with children or are on a honeymoon. For the next two days, get ready to explore the rich terrain and animal life of the Mara. You may choose to have:
[Option 1] A full day game drive [one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
[Option 2] Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, return to the camp for breakfast, then after breakfast, relax in the hotel enjoying the facilities, have lunch at the lodge and later in the evening, you can opt for an optional visit to a local Maasai village to learn about the nomadic lifestyle. Or go for an evening game drive, returning to the camp for dinner andan overnight stay.
[Option 3] You could also do a very early morning Hot Air Balloon safari flight with some champagne breakfast, then proceed for a full day game drive with a packed lunch. Exit the park gate by 6 PM and return to your lodge by 6.30 pm for dinner and overnight stay.
