This is a 10-day private guided itinerary exceptionally designed for adventure seekers. Fancy something a bit more than just wildlife game drives in Kenya? This fun-packed itinerary includes zip lining through Kereita Forest, hiking to the top of Mount Longonot’s volcanic crater, mountain biking through the canyons of Hell’s Gate National Park, a boat ride at Crescent Island in Naivasha, waterfall trekking in Aberdare, whitewater rafting and much more. The itinerary is an excellent choice for families travelling with children, a group of friends or couples who like active trips, as well as for senior travellers. The program includes accommodation at small boutique lodges with a lot of comfort and charm. You can opt to add a few more days on the coast and practice kitesurfing or diving if time allows in this memorable Kenya holiday.
Upon arrival at J.K.I.A NBO Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, is East Africa's most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for your African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa's 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place to be. There are some fascinating attractions that you can visit depending on your flight arrival time- it's cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum, and the world's only urban game reserve. If time allows, make sure you pay a visit to the Sheldrick elephant orphanage center operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This is a pre-booked visit. Overnight Stay in Nairobi
After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Kereita Forest, which is around 1.5 hours from Nairobi city. Stop over at the Great Rift Valley escarpment for the spectacular view of the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Then proceed to Kereita forest, where you will enjoy the thrill of a ziplining adventure through the forest. Enjoy some lunch before going mountain biking through the forest. In the late afternoon, drive around 2.5h to the southern shores of Lake Naivasha, Kenya's second largest fresh water lake that plays host to a massive number of birds, including kingfishers, herons, pelicans, fish eagles, among many others. Enjoy beautiful sundowners over the lake while listening to the sounds of nature at your hotel relaxation – the lodge we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs. It is magnetic.

After breakfast, we shall depart for Hell’s Gate National Park. Everything about Hell’s Gate National Park is different. You can take a guided walking safari here. Where else can you do a bicycle safari in Kenya, riding past grazing zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffalos and baboons? The opportunities for climbing are plentiful, accessible, and not too challenging on the park’s volcanic spires. The landform here is striking as well, greeting visitors with dramatic gorges, great towers, looming cliffs, and steaming columns of geothermal clouds escaping from the rocks. After the hike, head back to your hotel for some hot lunch and much-needed relaxation.
Later in the afternoon, we shall head to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a visit to Crescent Island. Lake Naivasha is a vast freshwater lake that supports a great diversity of game as well as more than 400 species of birds. Cruise through pods of hippos and listen to the shrill cry of the fish eagle. The boat ride provides an excellent opportunity to watch the birds up close in a stunning and tranquil environment. On the island, the terrain is flat, making it easy to walk.

After breakfast, it is hike o’clock! Lace up your hiking boots and conquer Mount Longonot. Challenge yourself with a trek up this dormant volcano and be rewarded with panoramic vistas from the summit with a picnic lunch. Mt Longonot National Park offers a great hiking trail to flex up some muscles as you pump in the adrenaline to be in tandem with nature’s heartbeat. Hike through the forest to the crater rim, enjoying the views. After a full hike, if your fitness allows, head to the lodge for hot lunch and much relaxation.

After breakfast, check out and drive towards the Aberdares. Aberdare National Park has dense forests, which hide unique and rare wildlife. Upon arrival at Aberdares Country Club, you will have your hot lunch. Then head to the Ark hotel via their courtesy bus. Along the way, you might come across elephants since they are in plenty there. You will also come across friendly waterbucks, monkeys, antelopes among other smaller harmless animals. At the Ark hotel, you will have the leisure time to watch animals, especially the Jumbos at the watering hole from your hotel room or breakfast table until you drop. This place is a game changer...you simply do not want to leave. The Reticulated Giraffes of Aberdares National Park are so cute and clean, it is as if they take a bath every morning.

After a hearty breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up at the Ark hotel for a day full of adventure. Conquering towering peaks, traversing icy streams, and discovering breathtaking waterfalls nestled within this paradise. Did you know Karuru Falls is the longest waterfall in Kenya? It is 273m and occurs in 3 steps. Totally dramatic!!

After breakfast, drive towards Nanyuki, arriving in time for a hot lunch. You will spend the afternoon on game drives. The Conservancy has magnificent views across the rolling hills all the way to the peaks of Mount Kenya. At Ol Pejeta, enjoy game drives in search of lions, buffalos, elephants, white rhinos, black rhinos, and much more. You will also visit the endangered species enclosure, where you will meet the last two remaining Northern white rhinos in the world. Learn from the rangers about the remarkable work being done to save the species from extinction as well as protecting the other species here.
Meals & overnight at Ol Pajeta
Ol Pajeta Conservancy is so amazing in that it keeps the safari exciting; the tourists ride one of their beautiful horses around the savannah. It has the most activities available of all the parks and conservancies in Kenya, like game drives, mountain biking, horse riding, lion tracking, running with rangers, cycling, and community visits. The conservancy has a strong commitment to endangered species and boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya and still manages a very successful livestock program. Meals & overnight at Ol Pajeta
After breakfast, drive south of Ol Pejeta towards Sagana River, arriving on time for lunch. In the afternoon, prepare for an adrenaline rush as you will set out for approx 4 hours’ white-water rafting on the river Tana. This is a perfect place for the adventurous who enjoy active holidays, involving rafting. River Tana has 3- 5 rapids depending on seasons. You can kayak or plunge in from a height of 40 ft., falling into the wild waters of the Sagana River. An experienced team will brief you and will guide you on the trip, making sure a safe experience takes place. Later in the evening, return to the hotel.

After breakfast, prepare for another full day of adventure, starting with bungee jumping towards the torrential Rapids Camp. Your view below is that of the Tana River and the farmlands on its banks. Observing the highest standards of safety, your upper body is harnessed, and an elastic cord is tied around your feet. Break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will experience the most spectacular zip lining in Africa, which cuts across the magnificent rapids of the waterfall. The Zipline is 250 m long and has 110 m on top of the river, which makes it unique in Kenya. Later in the evening, return to your hotel for relaxation.

After breakfast, check out, drive towards Nairobi, and drop off J.K.l.A airport to connect to your next international flight. Depending on your further travel plans, a few stops can be made on the way to the airport, to enjoy the views and lunch [ own expenses].
